With rising labor costs and fiercer competition in China’s plywood industry, a large number of plywood wood panel factories are carrying out full-plant automation upgrades. All production procedures have undergone comprehensive renovation, including fully automatic spindleless veneer rotary peeling lines, automatic sorting machines for veneers and core boards, automatic veneer jointers, as well as fully automatic hot presses with auto feeding and unloading to replace manually operated hot press machine . Automation transformation not only boosts the overall production efficiency of factories and lowers reliance on manual labor, but also enables more stable control over the quality of finished plywood.
In June 2026, we completed a project for a client based in Nanning, Guangxi, China. We carried out a full upgrade of the client’s hot press equipment: six original 15-layer hot presses with manual loading and unloading were replaced with three 30-layer fully automatic hot presses featuring auto feeding and discharging systems. After the renovation, the workshop space occupied by the presses was cut in half, and labor costs were greatly reduced. While six workers were previously needed to run the equipment, only one operator is now sufficient to manage all three automated machines. The client spoke highly of the outstanding outcomes of this upgrading project.
