Why do wood veneers need to be dried in plywood production?

Wood veneers must be dried for the following key reasons:

1. To ensure sufficient bonding strength of the adhesive. High moisture content will weaken the glue bond, leading to delamination and blistering.

2. To stabilize the moisture content of veneers and prevent warping, twisting or deformation of the finished plywood.

3. To prevent mold, decay and discoloration during storage and processing.

4. To avoid board bursting or blistering caused by excessive moisture during hot pressing.

The standard moisture content for veneer in plywood production is generally 8%–12%.

Product Advantage

Galvanized sheet metal, air pipes in saw tooth thread design prevents veneer jamming; Laser precision drilling ensures even heating of the veneers. The width is at 200mm, thickness is at 1mm.

Made with Die-cast aluminum finned tube.

Heat Exchanger delivers high thermal efficiency with minimal heat loss.

Provided that the customer's thermal oil heater supplies sufficient heat,

the temperature difference between the oil inlet and the dryer remains within approximately 20°C,

ensuring full drying production capacity.
