Secondary Hot Pressing with melamine paper/ Film Paper/Veneer for Plywood (High-end Furniture Board / Construction Formwork)
Ordinary plywood only requires one-time hot pressing for core plywood bonding and shaping. futher , high-end furniture plywood and high-end construction formwork adopt the secondary hot pressing process. The first hot pressing shapes and compresses the plywood core. During the secondary hot pressing, decorative veneer or phenolic film paper is laminated on the board surface. at same time ,secondary hot pressing optimizes surface appearance and greatly improves structural stability, physical performance and service life.
1. Seal the board surface and avoid glue leakage: The plywood core after first hot pressing has tiny pores and gaps. Laminating film paper or veneer fully covers the board surface, prevents internal glue penetration, and eliminates surface yellowing and stains for a neat, flawless finish.
2. Release internal stress and prevent deformation: Secondary high-temperature and high-pressure pressing recompacts the board core, corrects slight warping and unevenness, balances internal stress, and ensures uniform force on both sides to effectively avoid later warping and cracking.
3. Enhance overall bonding strength: Stable temperature and pressure during secondary hot pressing enable tight, delamination-free lamination of surface veneer and film paper. It further reinforces the bonding of internal veneer layers to improve board compactness, tensile resistance and compression resistance.
High-end furniture plywood focuses on decoration and texture. Natural thin veneer or melamine decorative film is laminated in secondary hot pressing:
1. Premium decorative texture: Natural veneer delivers authentic delicate wood grain and high-end texture. It covers the plain and rough surface of ordinary plywood and requires no additional painting, perfectly meeting demands for high-end customized furniture and interior decoration.
2. Scratch, moisture and stain resistance: The cured resin layer on decorative film forms a dense protective coating, providing excellent wear resistance, waterproof performance and oil stain resistance for long-term indoor use.
3. Stable and eco-friendly: Integrated hot-press lamination eliminates paint peeling, color difference and residual paint odor. It reduces chemical coating usage and formaldehyde emission, complying with high-end furniture environmental standards.
Focused on construction durability, high-end formwork is laminated with black or brown phenolic impregnated film paper during secondary hot pressing:
1. Smooth concrete stripping: The dense and smooth phenolic film avoids concrete adhesion. It enables easy demolding and flat wall surfaces, reducing secondary plastering work and construction costs.
2. Waterproof and alkali corrosion resistant: The thermally cured film forms a fully sealed protective layer to block moisture and alkaline corrosion from cement, preventing swelling and mildew, and improving turnover times in humid and outdoor construction environments.
3. Impact and crack resistance: Film lamination enhances surface toughness to withstand concrete pouring impact and lateral pressure, effectively preventing surface sanding and cracking for high-standard projects such as high-rise buildings and bridges.
